HERE IS A QUICK LIST OF ITEMS THAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED TO HAVE THE NEED FOR OR WOULD LIKE TO SEE INCORPORATED INTO THE PROGRAM:
FYI - SERVICE DEPT. ESTIMATOR, RUNNING APPROX. 25+ SVC. TRUCKS, APPROX. 40 JOURNEYMAN & APPRENTICE, PROJECTS RANGE FROM 0 TO MILLION, COMMERCIAL TO RESIDENTIAL, COMPANY WIDE 350+ EMPLOYEE'S, PURCHASE THE PROGRAM WITH HOPES AND INTENTIONS OF BEING VERSATILE TOOL FOR ESTIMATING VARIOUS TYPES OF WORK.

AS AN ESTIMATOR MY EXPECTATIONS IS CREATE AS LITTLE CLICKS AS POSSIBLE.
ALSO TO GENERATE USABLE REPORTS TO PROVIDE TO MY CREWS, OFFICE STAFF, VENDORS/SUPPLIERS, WAREHOUSE STAFF, AND CUSTOMERS

    1) LABOR HOURS PER PHASE BREAKOUT (HIGHLY NEEDED) >

    2) THE ABILITY TO ADJUST THE HOURS PER WORK DAY (OUR TECHS REGULARLY OPERATE 8 TO 12 HOURS A DAY ON A NORMAL BASES DEPENDING ON THE JOB) >

    3) WOULD LIKE TO SEE A TAX CELL REPRESENTING TAX FOR THE SALE PRICE OF JOB THAT ALSO ALLOWS USER TO CHOOSE WHETHER TO ADD TAX ON MATERIAL ONLY, LABOR ONLY, OR BOTH >

    4) THE ABILITY TO CREATE TEMPORARY ASSEMBLIES THAT ARE CONFINED TO A SPECIFIC ESTIMATE FOR ONE TIME USE AND NOT LOCKED INTO DATABASE >

    5) ADD QUICK PULL DOWN LIST FOR CITY AND STATE, OPERATING IN A LARGE METROPLEX, WE OPERATE IN 100+ CITIES AND LESS REPEATED TYING WOULD BE GREAT! >

    6) ADD THE ABILITY TO SAVE VALUES ASSIGNED TO ADDITIONAL LABOR DESCRIPTIONS (I.E. - HOURS / RATE / PER DAY, WEEK, ONETIME), AT LEAST FOR DEFAULT DESCRIPTIONS THAT ARE REPEATED THROUGH ALL PROJECTS >

    7) ON ESTIMATE INFO TAB & PROJECT BID TAB, CHANGE "SQFT" TO READ "SQFT/QTY", WHICH THIS CELL COULD BE USED FOR BOTH DESCRIPTIONS AND PROVIDE A LITTLE BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF USE >

    8) MATERIAL SUMMARY PAGE THAT WILL ALLOW CHANGES OR SUBSTITUTIONS FOR MATERIAL AS A GROUP/COMBINED TOTAL ONLY IN THE THE ASSIGNED PROJECT. AS OF NOW A SUBSTITUTION OR CHANGE CAN OCCUR FOR A SINGLE ITEM OR THE WHOLE PROGRAM >

    9) CLICK AND EDIT ESTIMATOR DOES NOT WORK AND I HAVE MY NAME STUCK IN IT TWICE ONE HAS NOT BEEN USED IN ANY ESTIMATE (I TYPED AS LOWER CASE WHEN I DO EVERYTHING IN UPPER CASE - OCD! ALSO UPPER CASE LOOKS MORE PROFESSIONAL AND EASIER TO READ) >

    10) WHEN SAVING A REPORT AS A WORD DOCUMENT THERE IS A LOT OF WASTED SPACE. i CAN'T USE THE DOCUMENTS THAT ARE AUTO CREATED BY TURBO BID DUE THE GENERIC DESIGN, SO I HAVE TO RESORT TO SAVING AS A WORD DOC, COPY & PASTE INTO OTHER WORD DOC AND ALTER AS NEEDED TAKES UP MUCH TIME. IT WOULD BE NICE IF WE COULD CREATE ARE OWN TEMPLATE WITHIN TURBO BID, WHICH ALSO LEADS TO NEXT ISSUE (#11) >

    11) STATE OF TEXAS REQUIRES THAT TDLR (TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF LICENSING AND REGULATION) CONTACT INFO BE LISTED ON ALL DOCUMENTS ISSUED BY ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR, THERE NEEDS TO BE THE ABILITY TO INPUT THIS INFO ON EACH OF THE PAGES THAT MAY BE ISSUED TO A CUSTOMER. TYPICALLY I HAVE THIS IN FINE PRINT AT BOTTOM OF PAGE WHERE YOU OUR COMPANY INFO IS LISTED. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MY INFO AT TOP OF PAGE (COMPANY, ADDRESS, MAIN #, FAX, WEBSITE, ETC) >

    12) SOMETIMES I USE YOUR REPORTS AS A REFERENCE TOOL FOR CUSTOMER IN CONJUNCTION WITH MY RECREATED QUOTE, BUT NOTICED THAT VALUES ARE HIDDEN DUE TO THE SIZE OF CELL THAT THE DATA IS GENERATED IN, SUCH AS A QUOTE SHOWN ON THE BID PRICE SHEET SHOWS PARTIAL OF LONG DESCRIPTION OR OTHER REPORTS SHOW 4 OR 5 DIGITS OF A 6 DIGIT QUANTITY >

    13) ON THE PROJECT STATUS TAB THERE SHOULD BE A CELL THAT REPRESENTS THE TOTAL AMOUNT FOR ALL ESTIMATES UNDER THE THE 1 PROJECT. THE ONE THAT EXIST DOES AN AVERAGE BUT FOR OTHER PURPOSES A CELL THAT REPRESENTS ALL PRICING CALCULATED UNDER THE PROJECT WOULD SERVE MORE USEFUL FOR ME AND OTHERS AS I HAVE SEEN ANOTHER COMMENT PERTAINING TO THIS. IT WOULD HELP WHEN CREATING 1 PROJECT AND A CUSTOMER REQUEST DIFFERENT OPTIONS OR SEVERAL LITTLE PROJECTS, I HAVE FOUND THAT CREATING A SEPARATE ESTIMATES WITHIN THE PROJECT TO BE SOMEWHAT USEFUL AND WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE GRAND TOTAL FOR ALL ESTIMATES >

    14) AS REFERENCED IN #13 REGARDING GRAND TOTAL THIS CELL WOULD BE MORE USEFUL IN THE PROJECT LIST RATHER THAN AN AVERAGE OF A PROJECT. I FILL THAT HAVING A GRAND TOTAL IN THE PROJECT LIST RATHER THAN THE AVERAGE WILL SHOW HOW MANY DOLLARS I HAVE QUOTES EITHER TO ONE CUSTOMER, THE 1 PROJECT, OR DURING A SELECTED AMOUNT OF TIME. >

    15) WOULD LIKE THE ABILITY TO HAVE PROJECT LIST SAVE AS LAST VIEWED, RATHER THAN HAVING TO FILTER EACH TIME PROGRAM OPENS. I GENERATE MY OWN QUOTE #'S THAT ARE PLACED IN FRONT OF THE PROJECT NAME TO ASSIST IN GROUPING ALL ESTIMATES, REVISED ESTIMATED, AND CHANGE ORDERS IN ORDER. TURBO OPENS AND PLACES ACTIVE ESTIMATES AT TOP AN LIST IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TURBO BID'S ESTIMATE NUMBER. >

    16) IT WOULD BE NICE TO CREATE 1 PROJECT FILE AND PLACE ANY CHANGE ORDER'S OR REVISED ESTIMATES UNDER IT >

    17) COPY AND PASTING - ALLOW COPING OF DATA FROM 1 PROJECT TO ANOTHER OR BETWEEN ESTIMATES WITHIN THE PROJECT >

    18) CREATE A POP UP WINDOW THAT WILL ASK QUESTIONS AND AUTO CALCULATE DATA FOR AN ASSEMBLY. SUCH AS RUNNING 3 PARALLEL RUNS OF CONDUIT 500 FEET, HOW MANY 90°s? / HOW MANY CONNECTORS? / HOW MAN CONDUCTORS? / HOW MANY PARALLEL RUNS?.. ETC.) THIS WOULD REPOPULATE THE ITEMS LISTED IN THAT ASSEMBLY FOR THAT INSTALLATION. THIS WOULD CUT DOWN ON THE AMOUNT OF CLICKS AND SCROLLING! >

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR LISTENING AND REACTING. LOOK FORWARD TO A RESPONSE.
